Fuller House Star Andrea Barber Reveals In New Memoir That New Kids On The Block Helped Her Get Through Her Divorce

Just about everyone who grew up in the 1980s knows Andrea Barber. She grew up in front of millions of viewers when she played the role of Kimmy Gibbler on the ABC sitcom Full House, but the actress says that what fans saw on television didn’t reflect what was going on in her real life. And now, she is telling her story in her new memoir Full Circle: From Hollywood to Real Life and Back Again.

The 43-year-old actress’ career took off in 1987 when her character was introduced in the second episode of Full House, and for the next eight years she was a regular on the sitcom. But, when ABC canceled the show in 1995, Barber went back to living a normal life, and she eventually got married and became a mom.

But, her 12-year marriage to her husband Jeremy Rytky ended in divorce in 2014. In her memoir, Barber shares the details of her split, and she says it was the hardest chapter to write because she was dreading the thought of going back through that painful time in her life. But, at the same time, she made sure not to criticize her ex-husband for the sake of her two kids.

“I constantly questioned, ‘How much do I want to share? I want to be honest, but I want to respect the privacy of my ex-husband and my kids,’” explained Barber. “I didn’t want to throw anybody under the bus. And honestly, today, I don’t really have many negative things to say about my ex-husband. We’re great friends.”

Barber says that after the split she struggled with depression, and it was hard for her to be happy about anything. But, thanks to her friends, some therapy, and the 80s boy band New Kids On the Block, Barber was able to make it through.

“I was a little embarrassed to write that, yes, New Kids on the Block helped me through my divorce,” said Barber. “I’m sure anybody out there would kind of make fun of it, but when you break it down and think about it, it’s a great thing to be able to just put your worries behind, to shelve all of your problems.”

Barber told Us Weekly that she went to the band’s outdoor festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and it started pouring down rain. But, she remembers looking up at the group performing on stage, and she was “beaming and screaming and laughing and singing,” and she thought, “I feel so free.”

Barber notes that she is a much different person today than she was at the start of her journey, but she thinks that applies to everyone. She says that every challenge you go through, every success, and every hardship makes you who you are. And, Andrea Barber says she wouldn’t change a single thing.

Orlando Bloom Says He ‘Wants More Kids’ With Katy Perry!

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry are undeniably very happy together and so in love! That being said, there is no reason for them not to start a family together if they both want that.

The stars are currently engaged and while the wedding is definitely happening, a date has not been confirmed yet.

Regardless, the actor, who is already the father of a son named Flynn Christopher, 8, with his former wife, Miranda Kerr, confessed that he would like to have more kids with Katy.

During an interview for Man About Town, Orlando revealed that ‘I really want to enjoy family and friends, my beautiful son, and have more kids. I want to make sure when I embark on that, it’s with my heart full and very clear about the reality of what that means, as opposed to some romantic idea of what it means to be in a relationship.’

While a baby with Katy would mean a second addition to his family, for Katy, it would be her very first child.

As fans remember, the actor asked the singer to marry him on the most romantic day of the year – Valentine’s Day!

He popped the big question with a flower-shaped diamond ring that also has a ruby in the middle!

Very unique piece of jewelry that totally suits the performer very well.

At the time, they took to their social media platforms to share the big news.

Katy posted a pic in which she was showing off the ring with the caption: ‘Full bloom.’

Orlando posted the same snap on his own account with the caption: ‘Lifetimes.’

About romance, the actor also shared during the interview that: ‘I think when you’re younger, we’ve all been sold this Hollywood idea of love and relationships, marriage and kids. Actually, what it really takes is communication and compromise, so life looks like somebody who’s willing to communicate and find joy in the simple and small moments.’

Survivor Host Jeff Probst And Contestants Janet Carben, Kellee Kim React To Controversial #MeToo Episode

Survivor host Jeff Probst, as well as two contestants, Janet Carben and Kellee Kim, are reacting to the controversial #MeToo episode that aired on Wednesday, November 13th.

The CBS show took a serious and disturbing turn during its two-hour episode. Kim accused castaway Dan Spilo, of touching her inappropriately. She claimed he was making her, as well as several others uncomfortable in the game.

Probst learned of the accusations and immediately informed the network. Spilo was issued a warning after all cast members were individually interviewed. CBS relayed their findings in text overlay.

The game continued but there was a shocking twist. Elizabeth Beisel and Missy Byrd admitted they made up their allegations against Spilo to take the target off their backs. It worked too because Kim was not voted out of the game in a blindside.

Today Kim reacted to the tough to watch episode with a Tweet.

“Hi everyone, I’m hurting and very sad watching this last episode too, but please try to be kind and understanding. No one deserves threats or shaming, and we can talk about this in a way that we are all better for it,” she wrote.

Soon Carben followed suit by speaking on via Twitter.

“I want to thank you for all of your support. It was a very difficult time, however I do love and care for my fellow survivors and I don’t want to see them negatively affected by anything that is said from the game. Thanks everyone,” Carben posted.

Probst told Entertainment Weekly he didn’t believe Byrd and Beisel understood the extent that Spilo was making Kim uncomfortable. He doesn’t think comprehended the severity of the situation or of creating such a horrible lie.

“This situation also highlighted another layer of the changing dynamic between men and women: You don’t have to feel unsafe to feel uncomfortable and making someone uncomfortable is not okay. This is new territory for this important conversation, and my hope was that everybody could share their point of view, in an open forum, about what had gone down and we could get total clarity,” he shared with the magazine.

There is no question a lot more goes on behind the scenes of a reality tv show than fans see in an hour. In a game like Survivor, there are so many conversations and interactions viewers never witness. That doesn’t mean anyone has a right to make another contestant feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Update: BD-1 Droid’s Power Of Invisibility Removed

After more than a week, it is now time to make some adjustments to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. And there is a lot to fix, at least according to the latest patch notes.

You can read the patch notes on Reddit. But if you like the abridged version, here are some of the more significant changes. For instance, a missing bridge on Dathomir was fixed. Players have been complaining about being stuck in the tomb there. You can leave the spot anytime you like without any problems at all. While on the subject of tombs, the stuck spheres in the wall of Eilram are ow unstuck.

And oh, you can now find the double-light saber on Dathomir, which was an issue before the update.

Meanwhile, another change involves BD-1, the lovable droid companion of Cal Kestis. Apparently, the droid suddenly disappears once it completes Bogano. It confused players at first until they realized it was a bug.

At least, the developer has already corrected the glitch. Still, on BD-1, the droid will no longer go missing in the latter part of the game. Also, during the AT-AT scene, a bug was fixed, so the game will not break when you talk to the droid.

On the technical side, developers switched the colors on The Force bar, which makes it easier to read. Also, the bug that prevents players from finishing the tutorial on Force Push has been fixed.

Two more fixes involve a missing character in Dathomir and the sphere puzzle. Interacting with the character is a requisite to progressing. The puzzle on Zefro was impossible to complete because of the bug, which was already addressed.

Meanwhile, as expected, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is treading new grounds for EA. It was one of the most anticipated games of the year, and the sales records reflect that. According to a company statement, the latest saga is the fastest-selling game for EA in the first two weeks. It also became the fastest-selling Star Wars title when taking into account the first 14 days from release.

Vince Zampella, developer Respawn chief, said that it is a great time to be a Star Wars fan right now. You have the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in December, The Mandalorian on Disney+, and the Fallen Order.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released on Nov. 15. The game is available on Xbox One, Windows PC, and PlayStation 4.
