Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel have been fighting seemingly ever since their first child was born. After the former politician won primary custody of the two children, the Bravolebrity wants to let her fans know the war is over.
Thomas and Kathryn have 50/50 physical custody of Kensie and Saint. The former Southern Charm star will pay for the nanny of Kathyrn’s choosing with any money that is leftover going to her.
When it comes to decisions like health and religion, the two can talk about it but Thomas has the final say. They have also worked out a schedule for the remainder of the year and next year.
Dennis took to her Instagram Story to share a message that read: ‘Just want to let my fans hear from me officially that Thomas and I have resolved all matters related to our children. I believe that this joint custody arrangement is in our children’s best interests and I am happy to move forward. Thank y’all for all of your patience, support and love.’
Thomas has yet to comment on the final decision.
This comes on the heels of Thomas’ other legal trouble being put to rest. After being accused of sexually assaulting multiple women, he has been cleared of having to serve any jail time.
Meanwhile, it’s been said that producers at Bravo aren’t sure what to do about the new season of Southern Charm. Weeks of footage have allegedly been thrown out and they could be negotiating with Ravenel to make his huge return.
The only problem is that Thomas has vowed never to come back to the show and made many enemies while fighting his custody case with Kathryn.
Co-stars like Danni Baird and Patricia Altschul were dragged into court to testify on Dennis’ behalf.
It’s no secret that the current trend in Hollywood is remakes and reboots of classic movies and TV shows. From Charlie’s Angels to Child’s Play, sometimes it seems like every project is a new twist on an old favorite instead of something original, but there are some things that should be off limits. And, Vivica A. Fox believes the 1996 bank heist movie Set It Off – which she starred in with Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Kimberly Elise – is a film that should be left alone.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Fox said that the Insecure star’s remake of the story isn’t necessary because the original film is a classic, and she should just “leave it alone.”
“There’s absolutely no reason to try to redo it,” said Fox. “It’s been done, and we did it so well, that people are absolutely going to compare it to that and I think that’s her taking on a tremendous chore because that film has become a cult classic and some things are just better left [alone].”
Fox then suggested that Rae create her own franchise if she wants to make movies about women robbing banks. She said that Rae could write an up-to-date story because Set It Off is from 1996, and we are heading into 2020. Fox added that Rae is setting herself up to have her movie compared to the original, and that isn’t good because “they’re going to slay her for it.”
Back in September – before Rae was part of the project and the remake was just a rumor – Jada Pinkett Smith also voiced her opinion, and she said that if they decide to do an extension of it in some way or recast it, that she thinks the movie is “something you leave alone” because it’s a classic and it’s been done.
Fox says she doesn’t have a problem with remakes and reboots in general if they tell the next chapter of the story and move it forward. But, when someone tries to recreate a movie or TV show that’s already been done and the magic has already been captured, then it’s just a recipe for failure.
For example, Fox says everyone has been asking for years for a sequel to the 1997 hit movie Soul Food, and she is completely on board with that idea so fans can see what those characters are up to twenty years later. Fox then looked at the camera and told Soul Food producer Tracey Edmonds: “Tracey, can we please do the sequel?”
