Not much time is left until Alex Fine and Cassie Ventura introduce their baby daughter to the world, and the two seem to be getting more and more excited about the situation by the day.

The big moment is just a few weeks away, and the two seem to be running a bet between themselves, which was received so well that many of their fans have jokingly started to ask them to consider running their own reality show.

It all started with Cassie, claiming that Alex would be unable to endure the pressure of pregnancy for even a few days.

And it did not take long for a hilarious shot to the surface, showing Alex with a prosthetic baby bump, apparently living up to the challenge set by his partner.

Rumors indicate that he may have started to feel the gravity of the situation from the very beginning, and was regretting being so loud-mouthed with his partner.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake hype is real, and Square Enix has kept the momentum up by releasing over twenty new screenshots.

The screenshots include different menus players will be accessing, in-game battles, and a very popular Summon.

A couple of the screenshots show off the Summon Chocobo & Moogle, which was called Choco/Mog in the original.

The Summon will use the special move “Stampede” to stomp and overwhelm enemies with a herd of chocobos. In the original, there was a slight chance when casting the Summon that a fat chocobo would appear instead, dropping down onto foes and crushing them. Stay tuned to see if that makes an appearance in the game.

A few screenshots show off the Upgrade Weapons menu and specifically highlighting Cloud’s famous Buster Sword. From this menu, players will be able to select a weapon they want to upgrade.

Square Enix gave some clarity about the new menu to PlayStation.Blog, “Each weapon has its own unique weapon abilities that increase in proficiency the more they are used. When an ability’s proficiency level reaches the maximum, that ability is then learned by the wielder and can be used when wielding any weapon.”

The Upgrade Weapon menu has options that improve the character’s status or increase the amount of materia the weapon can hold.

Other screenshots reveal Cloud playing darts in Seventh Heaven. It’s a minigame complete with rounds and an accumulated score.

There some awesome character screenshots as well, including members of Avalanche, Biggs, Wedge, And Jesse. There are also ones showing off a couple of members of the Turks, Rude, and Reno.

Barret receives an excellent still of Marlene on his shoulder inside an old church, and another one features Aerith doing something she always does, looking off into the distance.

There are a bunch more screenshots that Final Fantasy fans would be remiss if they didn’t see.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced back at the 2015 E3 event and has kept up fan anticipation ever since. The game will be released in phases, and Square Enix has announced that they have just started the second one.

The first phase will be released on March 3, 2020, for PlayStation 4. Gamers can choose between three editions that can be pre-ordered today.

The Standard Edition physical copy can be purchased through any major game retailer. The digital copy can be bought through the PlayStation Store.

The Deluxe Edition comes with the game and additional content, including the game, Sephiroth Steelbook Case, Hardback Artbook, FF7 mini-soundtrack, Cactuar summoning materia DLC, and Chocobo Chick summoning materia DLC. This edition comes as a physical copy or digital copy.

The 1st Class Edition can only be bought through the Square Enix store and as a physical copy. It’s loaded with extra content, including Cloud Strife and Hardy Daytona figurine, Carbuncle Summoning materia DLC, and everything that comes with the Deluxe Edition.

Square Enix also announced that every person that pre-orders a physical copy of the game will receive a Final Fantasy VII lanyard.

The X-COM games have been pivotal for the turn-based strategy genre overall. They have gathered a huge fanbase and it seems to grow every year. Well if you like these sort of games, you’re probably excited about Phoenix Point. It’s a spiritual successor to X-Com and is releasing in just one week.

The developer Snapshot Games is excited about what they’ve worked tirelessly on for a while, and to celebrate the near release on the Epic Games Store, they just put out a new trailer. It gives gamers the chance to see what sort of themes and action they can look forward to on PC.

It details the story of why the world is in the state that’s in. Of course, man’s hubris has lead to a deadly outbreak of alien species. It threatens the very existence of humanity. The world now is separated into rival factions, and these alien creatures get more powerful as the days go by.

The narrator then goes on to describe the three different factions in detail. Unfortunately, they have varying interests. This has created a rift between humans, which is the last thing they need when going against these threats of otherworldly proportions. The narrator concludes by saying the only hope left is for Project Phoenix to rise again.

It’s a pretty intense trailer that sets the stage for the epic tactical battles you’re about to experience. Like X-Com, Phoenix Point features turn-based combat. You’ll need to utilize a lot of strategy to come out victorious. The more you play, the more you’ll pick up on battle tactics and also gain access to helpful resources that can give your squad an edge against the competition.

Every time you play this game, there are new challenges to overcome. It may involve your resource management or how you decide to take the fight to these alien invaders. Since there is quite a bit of variety to this game, it has exceptional re-playability. That’s always been a mark of a great turn-based strategy game.

A key to your survival looks like uniting with other forces. Going at alien threats alone will surely spell trouble for your entire squad. Taking advantage of new technology also seems like a pivotal part of having success, especially during the later portions of battle.

December 3 is the official release date for this upcoming turn-based strategy game. It will come out for PS4 and Xbox One at a later date. Already, it looks like a winner.

Valve has revealed the specs of Half-Life: Alyx, and it is quite demanding.

For instance, aside from asking you to buy a VR headset, you also need to upgrade your computer’s RAM. At the very least, you need 12 GB of memory in order to play Half-Life: Alyx. That is the minimum requirement. Valve has not said anything about the recommended memory, however.

According to the specs, your PC needs to be running Windows 10 with at least an Intel Core i-5-7500. Alternatively, you can also use an AMD Ryxen 5 1600. For graphics, you need a GTX 1060 or an RX 580 with 6 GB of VRAM.

That would be a problem as a significant number of PC gamers have those specs.

Fans were not really happy that the upcoming installment in the Half-Life franchise is only for VR. The last time something is released is a mod of Half-Life 2, and a standalone title was released in 2015. There is no word whether Half-Life: Alyx will also be available on non-VR platforms.

The original story starred Gordon Freeman, a theoretical physicist working at the Black Mesa Research Facility. He was one of the survivors of an experiment gone awry, which created dimensional rifts. Aliens from a fictional Xen entered through these seams and eating the survivors. But Freeman also has to contend with the government and the military, which has been ordered to kill everybody on sight.

In Half-Life 2, Gordon Freeman is awakened from suspended animation by the G-Man. Apparently, the Combine, a technologically superior race, entered the portal and conquered earth. The invasion lasted only seven hours. It is now up to Freeman to save the world.

The events of Half-Life: Alyx occurs between the two previous games. This time, the protagonist is Alyx Vance, who was first seen in Half-Life 2. She was one of the leaders of the Resistance against the Combine. She was also present during the Black Mesa incident, although she escaped with her father, Dr. Eli Vance.

In the VR game, the fate of the world rests on Alex’s shoulders. The Combine is tightening its grip on the earth. However, she is still using her brains to build weapons that can be used to fight the invaders.

Aside from building weapons, Alyx is also studying the enemy, looking for weaknesses the Resistance can exploit.

Half-Life: Alyx VR will have a release date of March 2020.

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is receiving new platform to play on, the Nintendo Switch! It was announced today that Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is releasing on February 20, 2020.

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, which was initially known as Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening in parts of the world, is the origin story of the franchise’s main protagonist, Dante.

The game was known to be especially hard, so much so that a year after it’s release, the game received re-balancing and Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition came out. The new edition had updated the difficulty levels, added checkpoints to save a player’s progress mid-mission, introduced GOLD mode, and the ability to play Dante’s twin brother, Vergil. This is the edition coming to Nintendo Switch.

The plot takes place years before the first Devil May Cry game. The game follows a young Dante through his origin story and ends with the face-off between him and Vergil in the demonic world. Vergil wants to open a gate to the demonic realm, which will allow demons to ravage the world.

This game was loved by critics, receiving a 9.6 out of 10 from IGN, Gamespot gave it an 8.6 out of 10, and 87 percent from Metacritic.

Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition is $19.99 and is only releasing as a digital copy that can be purchased through the Nintendo eShop.

This will be the third Devil May Cry that has been featured on the Nintendo Switch.

Devil May Cry is the first appearance of the devil hunter Dante. Dante must travel to this island of Mallet, and kill the king of the underworld, Mundus. It can be bought digitally through the Nintendo eShop for $19.99, and as an added incentive, gamers will receive up to 100 Gold Points when they purchase it.

Day May Cry 2 is set after the events of Devil May Cry and follows Dante and Lucia as they work to stop the businessman Arius from summoning the demon Argosax. This game costs the same as the other two, along with the 100 Gold Points reward.

This is one of the best games in the franchise, and an excellent opportunity to convert even more Nintendo gamers into Devil May Cry fans. All it takes is for a new player to use Dante’s Devil Trigger once for them to be hooked.

ShockRods is a game that combines two distinct ideas into one powerful concept. The game’s developer, Stainless Games, stated that they are relying on the player’s suggestion and feedback to improve the game’s fighting sense and transform it into one that the community would love.

Stainless Games is created based on classic battle games. The indie developer, which recognized to be the brains of the Carmageddon franchise, has poured in over two years of time and effort creating Shockrods. The game features a fresh car arena shooter that combines the Rocket League’s ultra-fast RC action with the frenzied ferocity of Quake 3.

In an interview with The Loadout, Sam Corser, the game developer’s associate producer, declared that the evolution of the game over time is quite reasonable and that the team is integrating this aspect into the game’s development. He disclosed their effort in attempting to take the game out into the hands of players so that the gamers can notify them of how the games should evolve.

He further stated that the community knows what they want and what they need, all of which can make the games more fun. The production team has also been considering, at least internally, about the game as an esport. However, the group realized that forcing the esport idea could cause a big blunder.

Nevertheless, the developers still hope of making the game an esport and even admit that they treated the game that way in the office.

The game is available on both Apple Arcade and Steam and becomes somewhat a competitive game in the industry. To support the game’s competitive elements and maintain the fun and fairness to all players, the developer has earnestly analyzed player’s data and feedback to make sure that all aspect of the game is well-balanced.

While the competitiveness has toned down quite a bit when it comes to mobile port, there is still hope that the community will shape the game into something more significant. The developer team is also aware that the players’ feedback on the game can be somewhat jumbled, but they still painstakingly accept all the suggestions and work hard on making the game better.

With a few more content releases coming hereafter, along with the developer’s substantial commitment to support the game for some time, gamers may need to wait and see how the community will steer the game’s directions in the future.
