Jennifer Nettles chose to send country radio a message with her 2019 CMA Awards red carpet outfit.

The Sugarland singer made a grand entrance to one of country music hottest nights. She wore white after Labor Day, which is kind of a no no in the fashion world but that is not what has social media buzzing.

Nettles chose to share a few choice words in her ensemble that now has social media talking. The white pantsuit outfit was accompanied with a hot-pink cape that called out the male-dominated country music radio stations.

A woman’s face affixed with the female gender symbol, and the words “equal play” were written was on the back of the cape, which was attached to her blazer. When she opened up the cape, the statement “Play our f*@#!g records please & thank you” was scrawled inside.

The hidden meaning was only visible when the singer held cape out to the sides, which she proudly did several times on the red carpet. Christian Siriano designed the unique and gorgeous outfit. The art was done by with art by Alice Mizrachi.

Nettles outfit calling out the country music radio stations for their lack of air time for female artists was fitting for the theme of the 2019 CMA Awards. The awards show was a celebration of all the legendary and fabulously talented ladies in country music.

“When I found out that the CMAs were going to be celebrating women this year, I thought, ‘What a fantastic opportunity to take the conversation beyond the applause tonight. I wanted to send a message: Play our records,” the 45-year-old shared with USA Today regarding why she chose to her outfit.

She felt it was the perfect time to make a statement about the male-dominated industry. Nettles admitted to Entertainment Tonight the worlds “please” and thank you” were added because the blonde beauty is “mannerly”, as she put it.

Actress Angelina Jolie has been talking a bit more about her life as a mother, humanitarian, and life as a divorcee — three years after she ended her romance with Brad Pitt.

While promoting her latest project, Jolie explained that some of Pitt’s decision is making it hard for her and her children to live their lives to the fullest.

Jolie stated that she is having issues with the fact that Pitt is preventing her and their children — Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne, — from moving abroad.

She stated: “I would love to live abroad and will do so as my children turn 18. Right now, I’m having to base where their father chooses to live.”

Rumors claimed that Jolie is seriously thinking about going to Cambodia with her clan.

An insider spoke to Hollywood Life and said the actress is eager to travel the world and added: “Angelina’s very frustrated that Brad won’t agree to her and the kids living abroad. It’s the one thing she can’t get over because it’s impacting how she’s able to live her life. Angelina’s a citizen of the world, and she has a home in Cambodia, she’s building a home in Africa, she’d love to raise her kids overseas. But that isn’t something Brad’s been willing to agree to, and he’s been very clear that it’s not up for negotiation. So she’s resigned herself to being in LA until the twins are 18, but that doesn’t mean she’s not bothered by it, it’s very frustrating.”

Another source stated that Jolie is frustrated by Jolie’s interview and went on to say: “Brad is disappointed, he finds it pretty disheartening that she would make that sort of comment and try to paint him as the bad guy, especially since he’s been so flexible and understanding when it comes to her travel schedule with the kids.”

The family friend went on to explain: “But he won’t retaliate, and he won’t respond, he does not feel that it’s in his kids’ best interest to share details about the custody arrangement so he will remain tight-lipped as always. No, she has no plans to offer him joint custody. She has no issues with Brad spending time with the kids, and she is being sure to follow all visitation guidelines set down by the courts, but she doesn’t want to give up primary custody. Of course, if the law requires her to give Brad joint custody, she will comply, that’s a given, but it will be very hard on her because the kids are her world.”

Angelina is letting the world know how she really feels.
