There is no doubt that the Operation Varsity Blues college admissions scandal has changed Felicity Huffman’s life. And now that she has had the opportunity to see first-hand the challenges that inmates face both inside and outside prison walls, she is ready to do what she can to help women in prison better their lives.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a source says that the conditions at the prison where Huffman was incarcerated – Federal Correctional Institution, Dublin – were “very difficult,” and there were “no real program or initiatives to help the incarcerated women who were there.” And, this had an enormous effect on the former Desperate Housewives star.

“Felicity felt like the women in that facility were being discarded and left behind; they were forgotten,” said the insider. “She loved the women there and bonded with them. When she left she felt guilty leaving them behind.”

In addition to spending 11 days behind bars, Huffman is also required to spend one year under supervised release and she must complete 250 hours of community service. The actress has already begun her community service as a tutor at The Teen Project, which is a program that rescues girls from trafficking.

Huffman was already working with the organization prior to her sentencing. The insider says that the 56-year-old has been tutoring at the Teen Project twice a week for two years, and she isn’t “your average Hollywood actress.”

But after her experience behind bars, Huffman wants her next community service project to be helping women who were recently incarcerated and need help re-entering society. The insider says that will help Huffman complete her community service hours, but this isn’t just a short-term project. Instead, she wants to continue the work after she completes her community service.

After Huffman received her sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal – she admitted that she paid $15,000 to have her daughter Sophia’s SAT scores altered – she said in a statement that her goal is to serve her sentence, and she looks forward to doing her community service and making a positive impact on her community. Felicity Huffman added that she plans to make contributions wherever she can well after those community service hours are completed.

Battleborn, we hardly knew ye. Gearbox’s hero shooter was released in May 2016 to a semi-decent reception. While a lot of outlets found the game to be mediocre at best, it certainly found its player base. That was until, a little less than a month later, Overwatch was released.

Blizzard’s Overwatch, which was already in beta at the time of Battleborn’s release, made short work of its competition when it was released in full just a few weeks later. Despite the fundamental differences between the two games, Battleborn’s players dwindled once Overwatch hit the market. Now we have a little over a year before the former disappears entirely.

It’s a surreal thing to experience, but once the Battleborn servers go down in January 2021, players won’t be able to play either multiplayer or the single-player campaign. The game will effectively vanish, which is a complete bummer for anyone who’s still playing the game (or for anyone who spent any money on it at all, really).

The game has already been removed from digital stores and players won’t be able to purchase Platinum currency after February 24, 2020. Don’t worry, your existing currency will still spend just fine, and you’ll still be able to earn it in-game, but you’ll no longer be able to purchase it directly.

It’s really too bad that Overwatch all but signed Battleborn’s death certificate, because the two games really aren’t that similar, at least not similar enough to justify one wiping out the other entirely. Yes, they’re both hero shooters, but Battleborn leans into some strictly MOBA elements while Overwatch is a straight-up team-based shooter. Plenty of other games, more similar than these two, have co-existed peacefully.

Now that Battleborn is being killed off, its loyal fan base doesn’t have a lot of other options, especially since Epic killed off their own MOBA, Paragon, in April 2018. You can blame Fortnite for that one, considering that Epic pulled their resources off of Paragon to focus on their wildly-popular battle royale shooter.

Maybe the most surprising thing about this all is that the servers are staying up for another year. It’s definitely good news for Battleborn fans, as they have an entire calendar year to get the game out of their system for good, but with as small as that audience has gotten, I’m surprised they’re staying up for that long. Still, better to not look a gift horse in the mouth and simply enjoy it while everyone can.

Breakpoint is the latest game in the Ghost Recon series. Unfortunately, it was met with mixed reviews. Some portions really have their fun moments, such as the decent gun mechanics and competent progression system. Others don’t shine so brightly like the bevvy of bugs and limited enemy AI.

Ubisoft — despite receiving some backlash — hasn’t given up on the game. They have included several updates since launch and even plan on re-hauling the game completely. Somehow, even after the success of Ghost Recon Wildlands, they missed the mark with this latest installment.

They have since gone on to acknowledge this and just unveiled another patch. One of the biggest changes in update 1.0.3.1 is the ability to change your character at any point during the game. For example, you could be in the middle of a mission and decide to change the complete structure of your face.

Or, if you’re feeling bold enough and want a completely new visual appearance, you could swap your sex on a dime. The freedom to change your character on a whim gives rise to new possibilities. This new cosmetics change system comes after the community has requested more custom character options.

Ubisoft took these requests to heart and quickly implemented changes in Breakpoint, which players have seemed to enjoy thus far. There are a lot of YouTube channels showing drastic character changes midway through a mission. It instantly gives Breakpoint a unique appeal that not a lot of other tactical shooters have.

In addition to this swap-at-any-time design, players in Breakpoint also have access to more customization options. More specifically, there are many more items to build an outfit. This is a welcomed change because previously, players had to earn these outfit options through progression or they could just pay for them outright.

Lastly, this update is introducing a lot of bug fixes. Breakpoint may have started off a little rocky, but Ubisoft is still committed to the project. They want to give fans an amazing tactical shooter experience, even if that means putting more time and resources into this game.

Can this latest update save the title? That remains to be seen. It’s still refreshing to see Ubisoft take initiative and right their wrongs. Even without these updates, there are still some really great aspects of Breakpoint. The game’s main setting — Aurora — is a fun island to explore and upgrading your gun never ceases to be fun. Even better, more updates are on the way.

I think I speak for a large swath of gamers out there when I ask: just what in the sam hill is Rockstar working on? The rumors have been flying ever since they shipped Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC (though woefully incomplete, some might argue). A recent programming job posting by Rockstar mentioned “building animations for an upcoming open-world project.” While no project title was listed, fans were quick to speculate (and hope and dream) that the project could be the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6.

However, in a LinkedIn post from Pawas Saxena, a Rockstar character artist, Saxena wrote that his most recent project entailed working on environment pieces “following medieval architectural style” for a yet-to-be-announced IP. A few years back, Rockstar was reportedly working on an open-world game set in medieval times, but the project was supposedly shelved. That doesn’t mean it’s shelved permanently, though.

Let’s look at the timeline because that’s where things get interesting. At first glance, the timeline suggests that this wasn’t a Rockstar project at all. Saxena lists the medieval project as ending in July 2019, and he didn’t start work for Rockstar until a few months later in October 2019. That would mean that the project was for his former employer, the India-based (as is Saxena) Dhruva Interactive.

That being said, the LinkedIn page for Dhruva shows a post from seven months ago saying that Rockstar had acquired the company, meaning that Saxena was still working on the project for a handful of months after the Rockstar acquisition.

The only thing we know for sure is that Saxena was working on a medieval-themed game when his developer was snatched up by Rockstar, at which time his project didn’t necessarily end. One thing may have absolutely nothing to do with the other. Or Rockstar liked what they saw and are in fact incorporating it into their next big project.

Just to muddy things up even further, rumors of Bully 2 have been swirling about recently, and Grand Theft Auto 5 actor Steven Ogg said that GTA 6 will be releasing soon. How soon is soon? Is Ogg a reliable source? And if the actor behind Trevor knows something about GTA 6, does that mean that Trevor is going be in the next installment of the franchise?

There are a lot of clues leading to different conclusions and fortunately, all of the conclusions end with something good. The best possible scenario is that all of the above titles are being worked on and will eventually all see the light of day.

Joe Giudice’s deportation drama is currently playing out on the new season of Real Housewives of New Jersey. And in the most recent episode, his father-in-law Giacinto Gorga – who is from Italy – went off on Joe for not becoming a US citizen, and says that he has no one to blame but himself for his current deportation case.

During the episode – which was filmed earlier this year – Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe had a tense conversation on the phone when Joe was locked up in an ICE detention center in Pennsylvania. This led to Giacinto slamming his son-in-law for the current mess that he’s in.

“I slap your husband. He never did nothing right, he did everything wrong!” Giacinto told Teresa. “Six times I told him, ‘Go make a citizen.’ ‘Yeah yeah, I’ll go’ — he never did. He gotta blame himself.”

Joe was born in Italy, and when he was one year old his parents moved to the United States. Unfortunately, Joe never bothered to get his American citizenship, and that came back to bite him when he and Teresa found themselves in some major legal trouble.

After Joe and Teresa pleaded guilty to mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud, Teresa ended up serving 11 months in a federal prison during 2015 before Joe began his sentence in March 2016. While Joe was serving his sentence, the government went after him for not being a US citizen and fought for his deportation because they said Joe’s crime was an “aggravated felony,” which is grounds for deportation.

In October 2018, an immigration judge agreed with the government’s case and ordered Joe’s deportation after he completed his prison sentence. However, Joe immediately appealed the decision. And, after his release from prison in March, he was transferred to ICE custody while he waited for his appeal to play out.

After six months of waiting, Joe couldn’t take it anymore and requested that he be able to wait for the decision in his appeal in his native Italy. The court granted that request, and Joe was released from ICE custody on October 11th.

During the most recent RHONJ episode, Joe lost it over the horrible conditions in the ICE facility and complained that they wouldn’t allow contact visits with his family. He was also not feeling very good about his chances in his deportation appeal.

“I don’t see anybody in here walking out. They’re all getting deported,” Joe said. “I’m over it. I’d rather be out and see you while I can than be sitting in this friggin’ junk hole. At this point, I don’t care where the hell I go. I’m going to fight it out a little while later, and then I’m done. That’s it.”

Later, Teresa said in the episode that she doesn’t want Joe to suffer, but he put the family through this. And that means he needs to sit there as long as it takes and fight, and he needs to do it for his daughters.

After Joe was released from ICE custody and sent to Italy, Teresa and their daughters went to visit him while he continues to wait for the final decision in his deportation appeal.

As fans know, Harry Styles did not shy away from shading fellow former One Direction member Zayn Malik while on Saturday Night Live but many also want to know how he reacted to it! As it turns out, one insider report claims to know Zayn couldn’t care less and he is also not planning on clapping back anytime soon.

During his SNL monologue, Harry shaded Zayn by pretending he did not remember his name.

But that is not even all as, when he did ‘remember’ he referred to him as ‘Ringo’ who, just like Zayn, was the first member to leave his band – The Beatles.

‘I love those guys. They’re my brothers. Niall, Liam, Louis, and, uh…Ringo,’ he said, upsetting many die-hard Directioners who were really hoping their feud was over.

Previously, reports claimed Harry did not regret taking a shot at his former friend but it seems like it doesn’t matter anyway since Zayn simply doesn’t care.

‘Zayn was never close to Harry, and towards the end of their time with One Direction, it was definitely toxic, so he does his best to ignore Harry all together. Zayn also did not watch Harry on SNL, and he has no plans to,’ one source tells HollywoodLife.

That’s not to say the joke hasn’t reached him, because it has, but apparently, ‘he really doesn’t care. He’d rather not see his name in a headline with Harry’s ever again, but he’s not losing sleep over this. Zayn’s mind is on much bigger and better things, mainly Gigi. He’d love to get her back.’

Indeed, this comes amid speculations that Zayn and Gigi Hadid are in touch once more following her brief romance with Tyler Cameron.

Country singer Sam Hunt – who is well-known for his hits Body Like A Back Road, Drinkin’ Too Much, and House Party – found himself in jail Thursday morning after Nashville police arrested him for drunk driving. Hunt was reportedly driving the wrong way down a road in East Nashville, and he was swerving in and out of his lane.

According to WJHL NewsChannel 11 in Johnson City, Tennessee, Hunt was driving south in the northbound lanes of Ellington Parkway when officers were called to the scene and proceeded to pull Hunt over. According to police, when they encountered the driver – identified as Hunt – he had bloodshot and watery eyes and smelled of alcohol. Hunt also had two empty beers in his vehicle.

In the court affidavit, it states that Hunt – who has won an American Music Award and a CMT Award – was having “difficult staying in the lane of travel and crossed the center divide several times before a stop was initiated.”

Police conducted a field sobriety test before arresting Hunt and charging him with driving under the influence and having an open container. The arrest warrant states that Hunt had a blood alcohol level of .173, more than twice the legal limit, and he showed “numerous signs of impairment on all tests conducted.”

According to the law in Tennessee, a person is prohibited from driving or being in control of a vehicle if they have a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater, or if they are “under the influence of any intoxicant, marijuana, controlled substance, controlled substance analog, drug, substance affecting the central nervous system, or combination thereof.”

The report also indicates that when officers asked Hunt for his driver’s license, he tried to give them his passport and a credit card while his license sat on his lap. Police also claim that Hunt admitted he had been drinking alcohol “recently.”

After the Grammy nominee was booked on the charges, officers released Hunt from jail at 9 a.m. – about two-and-a-half hours after his arrest – when he posted the $2,500 bond.

Sam Hunt is scheduled to be in court to face the charges on January 17, 2020.

Over the past few months, Counting On star Joy-Anna Duggar has documented her life in an RV with her husband Austin Forsyth and their 20-month-old son Gideon. But, after a year-and-a-half of living in a camper, Duggar revealed that the couple has bought a house.

Duggar took to Instagram earlier this week to let fans know that she and Forsyth had finally purchased a home, and they plan to settle down and stay in this one for a while.

“Sooo … WE BOUGHT A HOUSE” wrote Joy in the caption of a series of pics and videos. “And YES! We plan to settle down and live in this one for a while! After a year and a half of camper living, we’re so ready!!!😱👏🏼 I love living in the camper, but I’m ready for more space and a little more organization!”

In one of the clips, Duggar showed that the camper they are currently living in is in the backyard of the home, and the couple is hard at work putting in new flooring, trim, countertops, cabinets, and fresh paint in the house before they can move in.

Duggar is excited that the home has an open floor plan that features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a massive stone fireplace. The young mom says she thinks her furniture and decor will be a “Scandinavian/boho/minimalist style, all brought together!🙃”

Not long after she revealed they had bought the home, the 22-year-old posted an update to let fans know they are “almost there,” and they are busy cleaning the windows, painting the walls, and laying the wood floor.

Duggar also showed off her paint colors, and admitted that she had changed her mind before settling on “Pediment” for the walls with an “Alabaster” trim. She explained that when Forsyth is painting she takes Gideon outside, and then they come in to help clean up when he is finished.

It’s times like these that Duggar’s large family comes in handy. During her video updates, many of her siblings and friends can be seen working in every room of the house cleaning up windows, laying wood floors, and using some serious power tools.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth make their living flipping houses, but this one is going to be theirs for a long time.
