The 2020 Grammy award nominations are here and the coveted category Song of the Year has some surprising additions and omissions. Song of the Year differs from Record of the Year as this is a category that not only recognizes the contributions musical artists made on their records but includes songwriters as well. Song of the Year is truly a songwriters’ award and though there are specific songwriting awards given by category, the general Song of the Year can be viewed as the best songwriter across all genres.

There are eight songs nominated and the entire list of songwriters is lengthy. Lady Gaga returns to the category as some of the songs she and Bradley Cooper worked on for “A Star is Born” had different release dates that made them eligible for last year’s Grammy’s as well as this year’s.

Lady Gaga co-wrote the song “Always Remember Us This Way” and leads the nominations for the category. Here are the eight nominees for the 2020 Grammy awards for Song of the Year.

Lizzo and Billie Eilish find themselves with multiple nominations and in the lead with the most for the 62nd Grammy Awards. This proves to be a huge accomplishment for Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell who have taken the music industry by storm. In addition to Billie’s multiple nominations, including best new artist, she is the youngest person in history to be nominated for top Grammy awards, as she is only 17-years-old.

Tamar made headlines not too long ago when she’s been bashed by people for a really controversial issue.

You probably know by now that Tamar usually speaks her mind at all times, and this usually ends up landing her in hot water again and again.

It’s been recently reported that the singer just apologized for the second time for some controversial comments that she made.

In an Instagram post, Tamar stated that if a man doesn’t want to sleep with his female significant other for multiple days, it’s because he is gay.

This obviously made a lot of people shade Tamar.

The 2020 Grammy nominations are here and that includes the nominees for the Best New Artist. There are eight nominees for the coveted award and many of the nominees have already left their mark on popular music culture, an important factor that is taken into consideration when selecting the nominees and ultimately the winners. The nominees for best new artist tend to be people who create such a stir with their music that people can’t deny their impact on the music landscape.

Lil Nas X not only had a top song, but he caused America to examine where race fits in with musical genres such as country and rap. He challenged old stereotypes and with the help of Billy Ray Cyrus, made sure that the established musical genres made room for him.

Lizzo has come on the scene with a message of self-love, self-expression and body positivity. Her music resonates with millions and she has empowered a new generation of women who are pushing through boundaries in a new millennium.

Billie Eilish came out of nowhere delivering authenticity, originality and uniqueness with her musical artistry and has drawn on many different musical genres and has left an indelible mark on the music scene and all before she was 18-years-old. At this point, there is no way to know who will be named Best New Artist.

Kenya Moore has an announcement for her fans, and she proudly posted it on her daughter’s social media account. Here’s what she had to say on baby Brooklyn Daly’s social media account.

‘As the newest ambassador for @babyquestgrants, I realize Infertility is difficult enough without having to worry about the financial burden it creates. Please join me in spreading kindness and giving financial help to those battling the high costs of fertility treatment. I encourage each of my followers to donate $5 (or more if you’d like) to Baby Quest Foundation,” Kenya began her post.

She continued and said: ‘Funds will be awarded to future grant recipients to help them pursue expensive procedures such as IVF. For those of us who have been blessed with children, let’s pass this along so that others may also experience the joys of parenthood.’

With only five months left, Lala Kent and Randall Emmett’s wedding is right around the corner so it makes sense some of the details are becoming public! In fact, they have been slowly revealed one by one and it looks like the Vanderpump Rules bride to be just shared something new about her big day and it’s related to her boss, Lisa Vanderpump!

It sounds like Lala is not able to keep her upcoming wedding under wraps since she is just too excited!

While in attendance at the American Influencer Awards, Lala chatted with HollywoodLife, telling the news outlet some things about her guest list and more!

Apparently, everyone on the show is invited to the wedding, including the co-stars she doesn’t get along too well with such as James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss!

As for her bridesmaids, Katie Maloney, Stassi Schroeder, as well as Brittany Cartwright are now confirmed to having taken on those roles!

And yes, the guest list definitely includes her boss, Lisa Vanderpump, who is actually also set to play a very special role on her wedding day.

‘All I can tease is that [Lisa] will have my dog in tow,’ Lala said, then laughed and mentioned that she might have spilled a huge secret.

Her future husband, Randall joked on the red carpet that ‘she sucks at secrets! We don’t tell her anything, she’s on a need to know basis. We shouldn’t even tell her where the wedding is until an hour before!’

But in the end, that was all when it comes to what Lala was willing to spill.

Maybe she’ll give some more details soon – as of now, however, fans are left with just that – Lisa will be taking care of Lala’s pup at the wedding!

It actually makes perfect sense and Lisa is definitely the right person for that role!
