Despite his undoubted popularity, Elvis Presley has been a controversial figure throughout his life in various ways. With Baz Luhrmann’s movie about him set to come out, his daughter is worried.

And even after his death, his reputation continues to be a dividing factor among people who have heard of him.

While he still has a large cult following, many people have been voicing their criticism of Elvis in recent years for various reasons, and it looks like this trend is not going to die down anytime soon — especially in the wake of the #MeToo movement that has affected public discourse in the recent years.

If anything, people might easily latch on to a new punching bag if they see the opportunity.

Lisa Marie Presley has recently expressed concerns on that topic, noting that certain parts of the life of Elvis can be seen as highly controversial in today’s society, and she was worried about how people might see him so many years after the fact.

A new film that goes through the life of the iconic musician seems to be paying particular attention to the early stages of his relationship with ex-wife Priscilla Presley when she was still underage.

While this was less of a problem back then, it has become a much more sensitive subject today, and many seem to share the worries of Lisa Marie in this context.

Via Radar Online, a source told A.J. Benja’s Fame, about Luhrmann’s movie: “With today’s climate, Lisa Marie is concerned Luhrmann will exploit that relationship, and there’ll be a huge backlash against her dad.”

The source claimed that Priscilla had been very opened with Luhrmann regarding her romance with Elvis.

However, for some unknown reason, Priscilla has not shared the details with Lisa Marie, who will have to wait for the film to come out to find out what secrets her mother revealed to the world.

There are already signs of people voicing their disapproval of the late King of Rock ‘n Roll as a cultural icon on the Internet.

While they are still relatively a small niche and limited, fans might start seeing even more of those opinions shortly if the film takes off.

During a new interview on Dr. Oz, Jon Gosselin made some shocking claims about his former wife, including the fact that he was the one who paid for her legal fees when they divorced, which amounted to no less than $1.7 million!

However, what really grabbed everyone’s attention was when he claimed that she wanted to have legal custody of the kids just to remain relevant.

You probably know that Kate and Jon had their own reality TV show called Jon and Kate Plus 8, which documented their crazy life raising 8 kids!

Even though it was a successful show, Jon decided to walk away from it back in 2009 but, as it turns out, it was not an easy task!

‘I literally hung a note on my gate saying if any crew members show up, I’ll have you arrested. [TLC] sued me for breach of contract,’ the man shared on Dr. Oz.

In 2010, the reality TV show became a series of specials titled Kate Plus 8, which were all about her life as a single mom of 8 after the divorce from Jon.

It all came to an end, however, when Jon’s lawyers issued a cease and desist which meant that the TLC cameras could no longer shoot at their family house.

Now that Kate has her own show all about her dating life, Jon is convinced that all she cares about is fame.

‘So, I financed [my divorce] by myself and she was financed by the network. I did not understand at first why, but now I understand — all she wanted was legal custody of the kids to sustain her lifestyle and lifestyle. And it gets all warped. That is fame though, it just twists things around,’ Jon shared his opinion.

Chris Brown and Ammika Harris might or might not be dating. Harris, who is rumored to be pregnant with a baby boy, recently broke the Internet with a very sexy photo where she showed lots of skin.

Fans have a lot of questions about her pregnancy. One person had this to say: “We know you’re pregnant 🤰🏽, and you’re making it quite obvious when everyday throwback Thursday😭.”

This backer shared: “Have one and ur right I am a female and know how most work exactly why I said wtf I said… but like I said, sis get a life.. and let her live hers, and that’s not an opinion that’s just you hating to get over urself. 😘❤️🤗”

Rumors continue to circulate about Brown and Harris, and nobody seems to know for sure if the two of them are back together, or their relationship is over for good.

Besides the unconfirmed June gossip that Harris was pregnant from earlier this year, there was new evidence in October suggesting that there was still hope for the couple.

Fans started suspecting that something was going on between the 30-year-old singer and 26-year-old Harris after Brown made a remarkable gesture that could not go unnoticed.

Brown had his tour bus painted in resemblance to Harris’s face, and he used one of her Instagram photos as an inspiration.

The vast painting was done during a stop in San Antonio, TX. Following what he had done, Brown proudly included a picture of the newly-painted vehicle on his Instagram page on the 9th of October with a caption to the photo: “WE GONE FLIP DIS BUS.”

And it seems like the romantic gesture achieved its goal, as Harris was quick to share the story on her Instagram page as well, noting how flattered she was.

This is not the only reason why fans are convinced that Brown and Harris are romantically involved, because the two of them have been exchanging cute and flattering compliments to each other on social media over the course of the last few months.

However, for the moment, it remains unclear if there is something more than just a friendly relationship, as the singer was seen kissing one of his dancers during a performance, and he also commented in a flirty way on one of his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna’s lingerie photos in September.

Ever since rapper T.I. shocked the public with his comments about the way he was raising his daughter, Deyjah Harris, and the so-called hymen scandal broke out, both the rapper and daughter have been remarkably quiet and have refrained from making any comments about the case.

However, T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, was the first of the family to break social media silence, sharing a new photo of her and her husband on Instagram.

In the picture, the couple can be seen walking together, dressed in colorful ponchos.

Tiny adoringly captioned the post with “Mi amor por siempre,” which translates to “my love forever.”

Unsurprisingly, the snapshot quickly gathered a lot of Likes from Tiny’s many followers, but one person stood out from the rest and commented that everybody was concerned about Deyjah’s wellbeing.

Tiny’s answer was quite simple and clear: emojis of rolling eyes. Tiny’s comment was the first form of a statement of any kind since Deyjah unfollowed her own father from both Twitter and Instagram recently, and she is not following Tiny on Instagram anymore.

Beside Deyjah’s unfollowing Tiny and T.I. from social media, other people who made a comment about the scandal include the hostesses of the Ladies Like Us podcast, Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham, who interviewed the rapper about the sensitive topic.

Following the backlash after the podcast, both Mandi and Moham issued an official apology on their page, stating that they deeply regretted the way they had reacted to what they had heard during this particular episode of Ladies Like Us.

One person had this reaction: “The fact that she felt like she had to disable her comments because of negativity.. smh I feel so bad. Deyjah is 18, an adult .i love Ti, but he shouldn’t take his daughter to the doctor to make sure she is still a virgin give her some space to be an adult.”

Another person claimed: “Probably because tiny isn’t her mom!! Duhhh!!! Everything isn’t a joke..”

This social media user wrote: “Parents: your daughter’s virginity is not YOURS to own!!! Funny how we as a society CAPE and/or celebrate our sons sleeping around…safely or UNSAFELY. TI was peacock proud of his 13/14 year son’s admission of NOT being a virgin 🤔💭 YET he is quite literally checking on his daughter’s insides to make sure she’s pure and chaste bcuz what? Bcuz these dudes outchea LIKE HIS SON…hell, like TI his-damn-self ain’t no good? TI who openly cheated on their wife, Sir?! Teach yo daughter to value herself, the importance of healthy sexual relationships complete with safe sex measures.
